As conscious consumers, we are constantly looking for ways in which our personal choices can contribute to a more sustainable future.

There have been numerous studies (e.g., FAO of the United Nations) which show that cattle farming is by far the biggest contributor to CO2 emissions in livestock farming, representing over 60% of associated emissions. What drives the growth in cattle farming is not just our consumption habits but also our use of cowhide for leather products (with 65% of leather being cow leather). Analysis has shown that leather accounts for up to 10% of the value of a cow* – hence, reducing the unnecessary demand for this by-product will contribute to the reduction in demand for cattle farming overall – thereby lowering the carbon footprint of livestock farming and contributing to a more sustainable future.

In consideration of the above, The Morphbag by GSK is made from premium faux leather that feels and looks like traditional leather but is P.E.T.A. certified vegan.

As a participant to the Conscious Fashion Campaign in support of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals,

The Morphbag by GSK actions SDG 15, SGD 12, SGD 17

Ethical – Animal Welfare – Vegan-Friendly –Premium Faux Leather SDG 15

Manufactured with highest precision and skilled craftsmanship in a sustainable and eco-friendly operated factory SDG 12

Imported, thus increasing the exports of developing countries SDG 17.11

This withstanding, it is the non-vegan fashionistas we wish to prove that style and animal welfare are not mutually exclusive but are co-existent in The Morphbag by GSK.

A sustainable future can be achieved by all of us with little contributions such as making the conscious choices to opt for animal-free vegan leather.
